Much Ado About Nothing 2014

Our Shakespeare society went to Calderstones Park Liverpool to watch the RSC touring production of Much Ado About Nothing in June.

Shakespeare's comedy Much Ado About Nothing tells the story of two pairs of lovers, Benedick and Beatrice, and Claudio and Hero.

The sharp-tongued Beatrice is considered one of Shakespeare's feistiest female roles.

The play is believed to have been written by Shakespeare from1598 to 1599.

The title-page of the 1600 quarto states that the play 'hath beene sundrie times publikely acted by the Right Honourable, the Lord Chamberlaine his seruants', so it was probably first performed soon after it was completed, probably by the Lord Chamberlain's Men at the Theatre.
